A secondary benefit of this particular option is that, should you find out that your hard drive is beyond repair, or not economically viable to be fixed, you can simply buy a new hard drive and transfer your back up information across.

Although experiencing a hard drive crash or date loss can be potentially devastating, as long as you’re aware of what to do, any resulting damage can be kept to a minimum. Although it can be costly, the data recovery companies do offer an excellent service. Keeping additional back-ups of your files is also a fail-safe way of protecting yourself. Whatever the situation you find yourself in, the knowledge of how to deal with data loss and recovery is as important a piece of information you can use alongside your computer, and allow you to work more confidently.
